I fell in love with music when I was a young boy at the age of 12. My parents owned a stereo & video store in the heart of Chicago, Illinois during the 80’s called K&S Electronics. My father started with a small shop repairing televisions and stereo equipment. Years later, the business grew and next thing you know we were an authorized dealer to some of the great retail brands (Sansui, Sony, Zenith, JVC, Panasonic, Marantz, Sharp, RCA and Bang & Olufsen). Now you may look at this list and say these brands are not what you would consider audiophile brand. But for me, as a young boy at that time, it represented a musical miracle. I loved to just sit in the listening room and listen to music until I got kicked out due to a customer demo. It was then I knew audio would be part of my life. I grew up and went to college and majored in (what else), Electrical Engineering. I personally designed my own amplifiers and learned the intricacies of electronics and of course, I visited every local stereo store I could find. Discovering at this time, some of the brands I have never heard of such as, “McIntosh, Proceed, Mark Levinson, Krell, Martin Logan” to name just a few. Nothing I could afford at the time, and I am sure the store owners were bothered with me coming in to drool over the equipment. Soon after I graduated from College, I got a job and moved to another city and tracked down the local audiophile stores nearby and negotiated very hard to obtain my first high end system. Those pieces of equipment are still around to this date at one of my friends’ home (Thiel 1.2 speakers and Linn front end).  Yes, I say friend’s home, because as all audiophiles do, they trade up! Then, I started to trade online and started to buy and sell my equipment to people around the world. My first international sale was to a gentleman in Italy where I sold my Jeff Rowland – Coherence preamplifier and the rest is history.

 

Now that I am married to a wonderful wife with two beautiful children, I don’t quite have the luxury of sitting down for hours listening to my favorite music, but I still enjoy going to my friends’ homes to listen to my old equipment and new equipment they had purchased. It is these experiences that have led me to build this site for all audiophiles to come and share, and enjoy the buying and selling of equipment in search for their perfect gears.
